Where Does The Time Go?

How are we halfway through July already?
Somehow I managed to launch Now What Weddings and then immediately went off the grid, whoops! That was definitely not my intention, but putting something so personal out there certainly takes an emotional toll, combine that with a pandemic escalating again closer to home, my husband being on vacation, and our son turning one, life just got in the way the past few weeks. But I'm back, I'm refocused, and I want to thank my friends and family, but most importantly the event community for their incredible support of this endeavor.
This is a strange time and how we chose to navigate all aspects of life has to be reevaluated on a seemingly constant basis, and that includes weddings. While weddings are happening, the scope of them has certainly changed, and the role of the planner has become somewhat ambiguous. Do you need a wedding planner for an elopement? If you're opting for a "minimony" as The Knot has coined the small ceremony held now with a reception held at a later date, should you hire someone to manage not only the experience, but also the safety of whatever guests you choose to host, as well as whatever vendors you have present? What is the right budget for something like this? Is it worth the spend? My goal is to try and help Brides and Grooms, or whomever is tasked with making these decisions for the wedding, to find answer to those questions and to either connect them with the best possible team for the type of event that they're hosting, or to provide them with my virtual services so that they can manage their event on their own, or to pivot with their existing team of vendors.
Now what are your questions about how the scope of your wedding has changed and how to move forward with your planning?
